Easter in Barnsley: Healthy Holidays

Eggs in a tray

As many of you will be aware, the Healthy Holidays programme will run again this Easter.

Clubs are running for eight days from Monday 3rd April to Thursday 6th April and Tuesday 11th April to Friday 14th April.

Letters have been sent to all eligible families, and that the ‘What’s on Guide’ details the clubs available over Easter. (Please see below).

The aim of the clubs is to provide children in receipt of benefit related free school meals free access to:

  • Fantastic enriching and physical activities
  • A delicious and nutritious meal
  • A safe environment

There are some fantastic clubs available around the borough during the Easter holidays, culminating in festivals at Elsecar Heritage Centre on on Wednesday 5th and 12th April. Please note that the festivals are open to all, not just those who are eligible for Free School Meals.

All events are free, and will include a range of fun sports and enriching activities, as well as at least one delicious meal each day. More clubs have been added to the programme, so please check the Healthy Holidays Webpage for a full list of the clubs available https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/services/health-and-wellbeing/children-young-people-and-families/healthy-holidays/
