Barnsley Healthy Holidays

As we gear up for another Easter full of Healthy Holiday activities across the borough, many of the local organisations that have championed holiday activities are developing their programmes to be choc-full of eggs-cellent and eggs-citing provision aimed at getting young people engaged.

Healthy Holidays has always been a mix of various activities – sports, arts and crafts, experiments, litter picks and other community activities, and good food. It gives young people a range of things to keep them busy with during those out of term time periods in a way that is both enjoyable and positive. Well received by young people, parents and carers alike, the important work that local organisations do to support their communities is invaluable.

Looking back to the successes of 2021, we saw a sea of happy faces partaking in arts and crafts, various sports activities, and testing out new foods.

New Lodge based Ad Astra was no exception, and they kindly shared some of their photos with us from their work over Christmas, which you can see below.

Good Food Barnsley is really proud to work with such a great array of people and organisations across the borough, and we look forward to seeing more after Easter!
